The Following is an excerpt from Volume I of the "Tales of the Silver Star". As it was recorded by historians and lore masters of the final days of the Third Age of Middle-Earth. Copies of these records can be found in the great library of Minas Tirith, in the nation of Gondor, capital city of the Restored-Kingdom of Men.

"...As it was propheside, so it was... in the year 1972 of the third age of Middle-Earth, the elf Lord Glorfindel propheside the return of the forces of evil and the coming of a great war. Four years later in 1976 of the third age of Middle-Earth, the enemy did return, the advanced echelon laid siege to Minas Ithil and destroyed the city of Gondor, renaming it Minas Morgul. In blasphomy to the arrogance of man, the servants of Sauron, the greatest evil of our age, renamed the city and issued a challenge to the King of Gondor, daring him to come forth and wage battle against the Lord of the Nazghul, the lieutennant of Sauron's greatest champions."
"Without an heir to his throne, and duty bound to uphold the honor of his kingdom, Earnur II, Last King of Gondor and greatest Champion of his people rode forth to Minas Morgul to answer the challenge of the Witch King of Angmar, Lord of the Nazghul. Among his number was a small contingent of his bravest knights. Of these brave men of Gondor, nothing was heard or seen again. Minas Morgul remained, though the Witch King ceased his campaign against Gondor and retreated to his realm in the far north, to Cairn Dum, in the land of Angmar. With the line of Kings of Gondor broken, his sightless eyes set themselves upon the remains of the north kingdom of Arnor, and the wandering descendants of that lost kingdom who still dwelt there. The Dunedain.. and among them, the blood of Anarion, the last bloodline of the Kings of Men. For indeed as it was propheside, the evil of Sauron had risen once more in the east, and in the lands of Mordor, the shadow of its Lord had begun to lengthen once more, its tendrils stretching towards what remained of Gondor..."

Recorded here after is an account of the fall of the Chieftains of the Dunedain, last bloodline of Elendil, High King of the Men of Numenor. For over a thousand years the Chieftains of the Dunedain endured, fighting the Witch King of Angmar and his forces from the skeletal remains of their land, defending their people and their lands with their very blood, until at last we come to the final years of the third age of Middle-Earth, when the Master of the Witch King, Sauron, had risen to power once more. Aragorn, last chieftain of the Dunedain prepared his people for their final stand in the north, knowing that the fate of men had fallen upon his shoulders, he undertook a perilous journey, and one that later, would lead to the final defeat of evil and the Reunification of the Kingdoms of Men. It is here, that our tale of the brave men of the Silver Star begins...
